MS 150 - Update 2, Electric Boogaloo

Ok, gang, we're in the home stretch now! Saturday is the MS 150 and it looks like everything is set to go. Right now the total amount of donations collected is $760! We've totally cleared the $250 minimum. And a special thank you goes out to all of you who helped. Seriously, you all really came through. Your generosity is going to a good cause. High-five, everyone, good job!

The last piece of the puzzle that still has to fall into place, and won't until the day of the ride, is the weather. We'll be watching it closely all week, but right now it's looking like the weather may cooperate. Fingers are crossed.

As for the gameplan this weekend, here's what I'm shooting for:
1) Get biking from the PATCO station start (NJ side of the Delaware, across from Philly) by 8:00.
2) Maintain a minimal average speed of 15 mph for the whole course. If I can do that, it'll take me about 5 hours to complete the course and I'd get to the Ocean City finish around 1:00.
3) Relax in Ocean City for the rest of Saturday. Get to bed early-ish.
4) Sunday morning, get biking from the Ocean City start by 8:00 and cross the finish line back at the PATCO station.
5) Do NOTHING for the rest of Sunday, except maybe watch the US women's national soccer team play Brazil in the Women's World Cup semi-finals.

Also, I'm going to try to take as many pictures before, during, and after the ride, and I hope to post a few on Saturday. So feel free to check back on Saturday afternoon/evening for updates.

By the way, the Nomads started their Fall season two weeks ago and we're off to a luke-warm start. The link for the newest season schedule and results is over there on the right.
